Yunishigawa Kamakura Festival

Yunishigawa, Kawamata and Okukinu Hot Spring

An event certified as the “Cultural and Historic Night View Heritage” of the Night View Heritages of Japan. You can participate in the event as a limited number of volunteers who build small kamakuras (snow huts/Reservation required).

Nikko Candle Pageant Illumination

Nikko

Thousands of candles on Narabi Jizo (jizo or stone statues in a line) are lit in the Kanmangafuchi Abyss along the Daiya River. In addition, fireworks are launched to decorate the night sky from February 12 to 14.

[World Heritage] Festival and Ritual on Setsubun Day

Mamemaki (parched beans scattering), Japanese traditional ritual to drive out evil spirits and invite good luck, is performed.

Hunter Mountain Shiobara

One of the largest winter resort in the areas around Tokyo is located in Shiobara, Tochigi. The resort offers discount packages of lift tickets and rental ski gears.
