Yayoi Festival

Nikko

A traditional event to tell the people in Nikko that Spring has come by parade of flower floats. Tourist can join the parade and tow the floats on April 17. Information counter with English-speaking staff will be opened (at Shinkyo Pocket Park on April 16 and at the Nikko Futarasan-Jinja Shrine on April 17).

Gouhanshiki (Ceremony of Forced Rice Eating)

A unique traditional ritual that cannot be seen in Japan except the Nikkosan Rinno-Ji Temple. It is said that the visitors can receive the luck of sound health and family fortunes.
