Kinugawa-Kawaji Hot Spring in autumn is surrounded by colorful leaves of red, yellow, and brown... A number of autumn color spots are scattered around the hot spring area, and many tourists visit to enjoy the autumn colors from the end of October through the end of November every year, which is the perfect time for the colors. Elevated spots that look over the Nikko mountain range and the plain and Kinugawa valleys are especially popular viewing spots. From the overlook on top of Kinugawa Onsen Ropeway, which is one of the popular spots, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the autumn colors.

In order for the colors to turn beautiful, it requires a large temperature difference between day and night, as well as clean air and water. Kinugawa-Kawaji Hot Spring, which is endowed by nature and has all of these conditions, is one of the foremost spots in Japan where we can enjoy the autumn colors for a long period of time. Autumn trekking in Kinugawa

This is a 4km course (one-way) that even beginners can enjoy. In this course, you will walk through the wild woods at the foot of Ojika-dake Mountain and head towards the hidden waterfall by climbing down steep drops with ropes and crossing streams.

Fun Fun Trail Run (elementary trail run)

Special instructors will guide you through an elementary course, in which you can fully enjoy the nature of Kinugawa River. This is a fun course that even beginners and those with less physical strength can enjoy.

Enhance your luck with the popular "power spot" tour!

Kinugawa Hot Spring and Kawaji Hot Spring are hosting stamp rallies, in which participants make tours of power spots around the hot spring area. Participants who collect the stamps from all of the spots will receive cute "good-luck charms" that bring luck! Enjoy strolling around the hot spring area while making stops in foot spas along the route to refresh your feet.


Kinugawa Hot Spring "Seven Good Luck Imps tour"

In this stamp rally, participants will visit the 7 statues of "Jaki", which are said to ward off evil and bring good fortune. Participants will enjoy this approx. 2 and a half hour course and tour around the hot spring area of Kinugawa Hot Spring.

Kawaji Hot Spring "Dosojin Tour Stamp Rally"

In this stamp rally, participants will visit the 3 "Dosojin", which have long been cherished in Kawaji Hot Spring as the gods of journeys and road safety. In this approx. 1-hour course, participants will stroll around the hot spring area of Kawaji Hot Spring while making a wish to these gods.
